Despacho Ceremony honoring Pachamama (Mother Earth)

  • McFarland United Church of Christ 5710 Anthony Street McFarland, WI, 53558 United States (map)

Are you feeling out of balance? Craving a sense of connection? Looking for a bridge back to yourself or to your Source? Feeling bogged down by negative energies?

During our Shamanic apprenticeship (Whisper on the Winds Shamanic Program at Golden Light Healing), Jayne and Deanna were introduced to the concept of ayni and the despacho ceremony. Ayni represents the reciprocity or sacred exchange of energy and resources to support community and maintain harmony with nature. Despacho ceremonies are sacred Peruvian rituals that can be practiced to express gratitude, ask for healing, mark life transitions, or restore harmony.

In an ayni (EYE-NEE) despacho ceremony, we acknowledge that we have become out of balance and we take action to re-establish our interconnectedness with Pachamama, the Universe, and one another. We allow positive energies to flow back into our lives, renewing our individual and collective souls.

Join us as we gather to create a communal prayer bundle (despacho) infused with our offerings and prayers. Together, we will seal the despacho with our blessings and our love. Finally, the despacho will be placed in a sacred fire. The rising smoke will carry our energy and prayers out into the universe, re-establishing our interconnectedness and our oneness.

ALL AGES WELCOME
