Open Heart, Open Body: A Sound & Movement Healing Circle: Recap & Reflections
Community Impact | Reflections From Our January 18 Sunday Service, shared by Jessica Riphenburg
Yesterday’s Sacred Thread gathering was deeply somatic, connective, and liberating.
Guided by Silvia Lopez, we dove into movement, sound, breath, and chakra connection as pathways for releasing stored energy and finding spaciousness and fresh energy within our body, minds and souls.
I personally found hidden energy that was ready to be shifted and released, and a deep sense of freedom and spaciousness. While I have a daily spiritual devotion in which a lot of variety and “flow” lives, my experience with Silvia brought a whole other way of tapping into my awareness, and I loved it!
Impact Highlights
Participation: 23 community members (18 adults, 5 kids).
Many participants reported arriving feeling stressed, disconnected and lonely, curious and open, and left feeling grounded, resourced, hopeful, and inspired.
• Many named a deep sense of safety, acceptance and inner freedom that came from a space that encouraged total self expression of voice and movement.
• Community and shared presence were consistently named as medicine.
Thank you to everyone who attended, shared the gathering with their communities, and have supported our work through donations. Your support helps ensure these spaces remain accessible and alive.
