Madleen Alsabbah
Yoga instructor, creative, and community facilitator committed to healing, connection, and embodied self-expression
Madleen is the first American-born Palestinian in her family, a dedicated 500 hour yoga instructor, creative, and community facilitator committed to healing, connection, and embodied self-expression. She began her yoga journey in 2013 and has since completed her 200-hour certification in 2018, Bhakti training in 2023, and a 300-hour Kaula Tantra Yoga Training in 2025 to deepen her spiritual and somatic understanding of the practice.
Rooted in her cultural heritage and personal experiences, Madleen curates sacred spaces that invite transformation, authenticity, and unity. She has taught at institutions such as the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Monona Terrace, and various local and global wellness retreats, offering an inclusive, intuitive, and trauma-informed approach to movement and mindfulness.
With over 15 years of experience in community facilitation, Madleen’s leadership began as vice president of the Ski Club at UW–Whitewater, where she coordinated trips out West, and later as a city event coordinator for the City of Portage. Today, her work is devoted to supporting individuals and communities in the Madison, Wisconsin area and online in reconnecting with themselves and one another beyond labels through ancestral practices such as singing, dancing, breathwork, and embodied movement.
